Purpose of Role:
To positively impact the guest experience through forms of spa & wellness practices; such as yoga,
meditation, etc., providing exceptional and personal service. Offer bespoke wellness experiences to
guests through treatments, services, and guided activities, while ensuring that the spa and wellness
areas & equipment are maintained at a high standard. Working in conjunction with all other
departments to ensure an exemplary guest experience and ensuring all activities and wellness options
are communicated to guests.
  • Role & Responsibilities:
  •  To provide bespoke wellness experiences through treatments and guided activities.
  •  To be present at arrival, breakfast, and lunch to be available to discuss treatments and guest
  • requests, with a focus on selling treatments.
  •  To be able to participate in guest communication groups to promote and take bookings for the
  • spa including platforms such as Whatsapp or internal apps
  •  To lead the guest experience in all aspects of their wellness journey, introducing approaches to
  • physical wellbeing through treatments, fitness classes, yoga, and meditation that guests will be
  • encouraged to take away with them and continue to embrace in their daily lifestyle.
  •  Influence the guests with a wellness aspect.
  •  Above and beyond wellness and treatment experiences.
  •  Flexibility and being able to react quickly when guest plans change.
  •  To assist in the organizing, tracking and stocking of sellable products on the island including the
  • spa products and The Aerials Giving Shop (gift shop)
  • Spa
  •  Participate in the day to day running of the spa by ensuring the spa is prepped, cleaned and
  • always guest-ready for last-minute bookings and treatments.
  •  To participate in the bookings process for spa treatments.
  •  To participate in maintaining the spa and wellness areas ensure that they are hygienic, clean,
  • organized and that all details have been attended to create the desired atmosphere and spa
  • experience.
  •  To notify the head of department and maintenance of any issues with spa equipment and when
  • necessary anticipating and ordering replacement equipment promptly.
  •  To perform requested treatments and create bespoke treatments catering to special needs for
  • guests.
  •  To record guest charges in an accurate, efficient manner.
  •  To assist with the completion of scheduled stock takes and monitoring stock levels to ensure that
  • sufficient stock is in place at all times.
  •  To introduce personalized touches and creative ideas to the spa areas to heighten the guest
  • experience, inclusive but not limited to poolside and beach side treatments.
  •  To converse with guests to encourage them to partake in the spa experience and encourage
  • them to purchase available spa products following their treatments.
  •  To demonstrate awareness of new spa trends, and be willing to learn about and introduce
  • innovative ideas to keep at the forefront of the industry.
  •  In guest down-time, to share the experience of the spa with team members as approved by the
  • Wellness Manager.
  •  To comply with health and safety guidelines and with all legal requirements to operate the spa
  • and undertake all security measures to ensure the protection of guests, team and company
  • property.
  •  To assist with the creation of all SOPs for treatments and the spa set-up.
  •  To be receptive to any refresher training or new treatment training.
  • Yoga & Fitness (* if qualified - min 200 hour YTTC or equivalent fitness/wellness qualifications)
  •  To care for all yoga and fitness equipment and ensure it is kept clean, organized and stored
  • properly at all times, and notifying the Wellness Development Specialist of any faults or need for
  • equipment replacement.
  •  To organize all guest yoga and fitness class requests as overseen by the Wellness Manager.
  •  To lead all guest yoga & fitness classes as requested, including both group and 1-1 classes*.
  • Additional Wellness Activities
  •  To provide guided Meditation classes to groups or individuals as requested.
  •  To provide guided Journaling sessions to groups or individuals as requested.
  •  To provide guided Mindful Scavenger Hunts to groups or individuals as requested.
  •  To lead Island Hikes and accompanying guests on organized off-island walks as and when the
  • need presents itself.
  • Hosting
  •  To be a part of the guest food & beverage hosting schedule if required, ensuring that guests are
  • taken care of to a standard surpassing guest expectation.
  •  To be receptive to training as received by relevant members of the management and hosting
  • teams with regards to standards and execution.
  •  To assist with the preparation of bars/coolers at all dining locations as well as assist with location
  • set-ups as required.
  •  If required to assist with guest room/guest area shows.
  •  To assist with any room drop items as required.
  • Guest Areas & Setups
  •  To maintain an excellent standard of all guest areas.
  •  To ensure that all furniture, games, and decorations are tidied and returned to the correct
  • location each day.
  •  To maintain a good eye for detail and organization within guest areas.
  •  To participate in creative setups for guest activities included bonfire setups, themed activities or
  • meals, special occasions and birthdays.
  • Guest Communications
  •  To ensure at all times that guest needs are communicated.
  •  To be receptive to all questions asked by guests and find out the relevant information if
  • necessary.
  •  To ensure that all guest requests are communicated to the relevant department/team member.
  •  To ensure that all guest feedback is handled professionally and communicated.
  • Giving Shop
  •  To provide support to the team in the sales, organization, and stocking of the giving shop.
  •  To provide support to the team with the monthly stocktake of the giving shop stock.
  •  To assist the Wellness manager in explaining the giving shop at each event when requested
  •  To assist the Wellness manager in communication and tracking with guest purchases
  •  To present ideas for products to be retailed in the giving shop, providing relevant research for
  • products to order.
  • General Support
  •  To assist with driving guests around the island.
  •  To support the team with guest logistics on arrival and departure days.
  •  To support the team with the movement of guest bags.
  •  To play an active role in keeping all staff areas, storage cupboards exceptionally organized.
  •  To provide Island Tours as and when the need presents itself.
  • Other
  •  To attend all meetings as requested by management and support the communications process.
  •  To maintain total confidentiality as to the identity of the guest staying on property.
  •  To have a clear working knowledge of the island’s policies and operate within their guidelines at
  • all times.
  •  To cooperate with management and other employees to ensure a harmonious working
  • environment.
  •  To respond to fire emergencies, as stated in the fire procedures and undergo any training on
  • emergencies and accidents.
  •  To dress in the Aerial BVI island uniform and be groomed when on duty.
  •  To assist in island/business preparation for a hurricane or other significant event.
  •  To assist with the island’s charitable activities.
  •  When off-island, to behave in a manner appropriate as a representative of the island.
  •  Abide by Aerial’s core values and employee handbook.
  •  To undertake any reasonable project requested by a management member or Ownership.
